The Spice Way Farm’s hands-on Visitor Center at the northern entrance to Eilat invites you to enter a world of aromas, colors and flavors from the sea and the desert. Rafi and Maya Friedman, the owners, managed an agricultural and marine farm for many years and are intensely connected to nature and the desert. Their love of spices developed into an exciting venture combining fish ponds and the pond’s algae with a colorful open market of spices, medicinal herbs, spice blends for cooking, complementary products, kitchen accessories, special tools, natural cosmetics and gifts. On the farm you will be immersed in the tastes and aromas of the market and receive tips and ideas for cooking and day-to-day health. Rafi and Maya’s activities and fascinating classes are a worthwhile addition to your Eilat vacation.
Located close to the Red Sea port and along the ancient Spice and Incense Route, come to the Visitor Center to discover the fascinating secrets held by marine and desert plants. Come learn about a sweet plant that works wonders, discover the healing powers of the local Achillea fragrantissima, or sip an infusion of desert plants on the balcony overlooking the Edom Mountains. The farm’s relaxing desert atmosphere and its colorful market of hundreds of spices and herb mixtures will delight your senses.
